Personally speaking, Queen and Slim was a disappointment to me. When the film was initially announced, I was very excited. I was hoping that we would get to see modern revolutionary heroes on screen. I expected a celebration of survival, not martyrdom and death. Maybe this was a personal problem. Maybe I didn’t pay more careful attention to the trailer.
